I Released Driftwell for Android
Driftwell plays spoken affirmations you pick, in a voice you pick, over soundscapes and frequencies you pick. No ads, and it works offline.
After a stressful day, the last thing I wanted was to lie in bed with a bright screen, scrolling YouTube for something to fall asleep to. When I did find a video, it was too short, or I didn’t trust what it was telling me, or I didn’t like the music under it. Or an ad cut in just as I started to drift off.
So I built Driftwell, an Android app that does the part I kept hunting for.
You choose the spoken affirmations, the voice that reads them, and what plays underneath: soundscapes like rain, ocean or a fireplace, frequencies like binaural beats paced for sleep or focus, or both. If you’d rather not choose, start from a preset and press play. There are no ads, and it works offline.
I mostly use it at night, to sleep more deeply after a hard day. Other people use it to settle their focus before a difficult meeting.
The free version comes with 14 affirmation packs, 2 voices, 12 frequency presets and 11 soundscapes. Driftwell Plus unlocks everything else for a one-time $9.99. No subscription.
Give it one night instead of the YouTube search.
